WHAT'S INSIDE
SAW and PULSE oscillators with RETRO movement, and two filters: the diode-style ACID and the ladder-style TRANSISTOR. ACCENT, ACC DECAY and ACC SWEEP shape every accented note.
16 patterns of up to 32 steps, each with its own rate, swing, gate, direction and slide time. RANDOM writes new lines in seven scales; MUTATE varies the one you have.
Split any step into 2, 3 or 4 audio repeats for rolls and stutters. The captured slice keeps its attack and its distortion.
Drag a pattern onto a DAW track as MIDI, or drop a .mid file onto a pattern to import it. Accents and slides travel with the notes.
In KEY mode, hold a key to start a pattern and transpose it. Or switch the sequencer off and play a mono synth with legato slides, velocity accents and MIDI Learn.
A second oscillator with its own tuning and detune, unison with up to seven voices and a separate amp envelope.
Nine shapes and nine destinations, from cutoff and pitch to the PARADIST crossovers. SIDECHAIN and STUTTER pump and chop without a sidechain cable, and live rings on the knobs show the movement.
One knob for three-band compression and saturation. Quiet detail comes forward, peaks stay under control and the line gets denser.
Three-band distortion with five characters from SOFT to HARD, draggable crossovers and 13 presets of its own.
Ping-pong delay, free or synced to your host tempo, with low cut, high cut and stereo width.
Every preset stores the sound and all 16 patterns. Double-click to load, or start from a clean Init. LOCK SOUND or LOCK PATTERN to swap only one of them.
Two complete looks: worn black steel or satin silver. The window scales to your screen.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
ACIDKING is an instrument plugin and needs a host that loads AU, VST3 or CLAP. Latency is 18 samples at 44.1 and 48 kHz, and your DAW compensates for it.
FAQ
No. Like the classic acid boxes, it plays one note at a time. Overlapping notes slide into each other. UNISON stacks up to seven voices on that one note for a wider sound.
No. ACIDKING has no external input. The LFO shapes SIDECHAIN and SC SMOOTH duck the volume in time with your host, and STUTTER 4 and SAW STUTTER 4 chop it.
Yes. Drag a pattern onto a MIDI track in your DAW, and accents and slides come with it. LOOP repeats, effects and RANDOM direction stay inside ACIDKING, so bounce the audio when you need the exact performance.
Yes. Your DAW project saves the sound, all 16 patterns and your MIDI Learn mappings. You can also export a preset as an .acidking file and share it.
Yes. A full English manual comes with the plugin. It starts with your first pattern and goes down to every range, reset value and timing detail.
